STAIND Singer Plans To Record Solo Debut In Spring
December 4, 2008According to The Pulse of Radio, STAIND singer Aaron Lewis says he plans to record his debut solo album in April and May of 2009, when he has set some time aside from the band's schedule to get into the studio by himself. Despite just finishing up STAIND's latest album, "The Illusion of Progress", earlier this year, Lewis said he has no shortage of material for his own project. "It's really kind of endless," he said. "I can write songs on the acoustic guitar, in an acoustic-type of manner, extremely easy. It's not a difficult thing for me. I mean, there's a handful of songs that's already there that, you know, just kind of have to get revisited, and then like I said, acoustic songs come to me pretty easily."
Lewis tentatively plans to record and produce the album himself at his home studio in Massachusetts.
The singer will also head out on his annual solo acoustic tour in the first two weeks of January, mostly performing at casinos.
STAIND also continues to tour behind "The Illusion of Progress". Although no new U.S. dates have been announced yet for 2009, the band will head to Europe early in the year before going to Afghanistan and Iraq for two weeks to perform for U.S. troops.
The latest single from "The Illusion of Progress" is "All I Want".
